Why pet portraits?
A question I get a lot is: ''Why pet portraits?''
Well... Having grown up with many animals, I understand how deep the connection can be and how animals can be such a big part of your life, even if you don't own them yourself. I want to bring your pets close to you by bringing them to life in an oil painting.

My creative journey
I've always been creative, but the pandemic gave me the chance to explore it even more. I started with drawing, moved to digital art, and finally discovered my love for oil painting in 2023. It’s been an exciting journey ever since, and I’m looking forward to create new things and explore art even more!

My love for animals
Growing up, I was always surrounded by animals, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, gerbils, hamsters, dogs, a cat, a horse, and more. I still remember sitting in the rabbit enclosure and drawing when I was younger, definitely a core memory. These experiences with my pets inspire me every day.

My art style
My art style is expressive and loose, focusing on capturing the personality of each pet. I love experimenting with different colors and bold brushstrokes to bring the portraits to life. My goal is to create a piece that not only looks like your pet but feels like them too.

Always up for a fun challenge!
I love pushing myself with fun challenges, and one of my favorite ways to do this is through my 1 hour painting sessions. Here’s a bit about why I do them and what they mean to me.
I set a timer for one hour and create a painting from start to finish. It's a great way to practice and enjoy the process without getting too caught up in details. I like to experiment with different techniques, colors, and subjects during these quick studies. Sometimes the results are surprising, and other times they show me what I can improve on. Either way, it’s always fun experience!
