The style of the portrait

My style is loose and in parts unfinished, this will be reflected in the painting of the animal. I love oil paintings that truly look like paintings, not like photos. Most people tell me my work shows their pet’s personality and soul.

Most of my commissioned work is cats and dogs. Feel free to reach out for birds, bunnies, horses etc.

Choosing a reference

Which photos will translate well into a painting? Sometimes photos have so much meaning in them but they will not always make a great painting

Having good reference photos makes it easier to end up with a great portrait of your pet. It’s important for me to see all the beautiful details in your pet in order to paint them accurately.

Use these tips when selecting or taking photos of your pet.

Timeline

The entire process, from starting the painting to shipping, takes about 6 to 8 weeks. Drying time may affect the shipping schedule. You'll receive a photo of the completed painting before shipping, and the final payment is due after approval, minus the deposit.

Please note, the timeline starts when I begin your painting. After you send in a commission request, I'll give you an estimated time for when your painting will be started, based on my current waitlist.

Pricing & Sizes

Prices listed are for one subject (head & neck portrait) only. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your commission, please get in touch!
