The style of the portrait

My style is loose and in parts unfinished, this will be reflected in the painting of the animal. I love oil paintings that truly look like paintings, not like photos. Most people tell me my work shows their pet’s personality and soul.

Most of my commissioned work is cats and dogs. Feel free to reach out for birds, bunnies, horses etc.

Pricing and Sizes

Prices listed are for one subject (head & neck portrait) only. If you’d like two or more pets in one painting, that’s absolutely possible! I can give you the final price once I see the photo. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your commission, feel free to reach out.

For international customers: Since August 29, 2025, shipments to the United States may have customs fees or import taxes, no matter the order value. These costs are handled by the buyer according to current US regulations, so please keep this in mind when placing your order.

Timeline, payment and shipping

The process starts when you submit a commission request through my form. Include all the photos you’d like me to consider. I’ll get in touch to go over the details, confirm the timeframe, and together we’ll pick the photo that will make the best painting!

Please note, the timeline starts when I begin your painting, not when you submit your request. After you send your request, I’ll give you an estimated start date based on my current waitlist.

Once we agree on your commission, a non-refundable deposit of €40 is needed to secure your spot.

The painting usually takes around 5 to 6 weeks, including drying and varnishing. When it’s finished, I’ll send you a photo for approval. After your approval, it needs about two weeks to dry before I apply a protective varnish, which also takes about two weeks.

Once the final payment (minus the deposit) is received, I’ll carefully pack your artwork to keep it safe during shipping. You’ll receive track and trace details so you know exactly when it’s on its way, along with updates throughout the process!
