Is there a deposit required to book a commission?
Is there a deposit required to book a commission?
Yes, a deposit is needed to save your spot. This deposit will be subtracted from the total cost of the portrait. It helps secure your place in line and gives you an estimate of when I’ll start working on your painting. Once your portrait is finished, I’ll send you a photo and wait for your confirmation. After the painting has dried and the final payment is made, I’ll ship it out to you!
How long does it take to complete a pet portrait?
How long does it take to complete a pet portrait?
Each painting typically takes 4 to 6 weeks to complete, which includes time for the paint to dry and applying a protective varnish. When you contact me, I'll provide a timeframe for when your commission can start. After securing your spot with a deposit, you'll officially be on the waitlist. Once it's your turn, I'll reach out again to confirm and begin your painting. From that point, it will take 4 to 6 weeks to finish before shipping. Shipping time varies depending on your country, so please get in touch for the most accurate timeframe.

I’ll choose a background color that best complements the painting. However, if you have a specific color in mind, I can use a shade that works best for the painting. You can also choose if you prefer a fully covered background or a looser, unfinished one! See my portfolio page for references.

A good reference photo is clear and shows your pet’s unique features and personality. I've written a blog post with tips on selecting the perfect reference photo. Check it out here.

My creative journey
I've always been creative, but the pandemic gave me the chance to explore it even more. I started with drawing, moved to digital art, and finally discovered my love for oil painting in 2023. It’s been an exciting journey ever since, and I’m looking forward to create new things and explore art even more!

My love for animals
Growing up, I was always surrounded by animals, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, gerbils, hamsters, dogs, a cat, a horse, and more. I still remember sitting in the rabbit enclosure and drawing all the time when I was younger. These experiences with my pets inspire me every day.

My art style
My art style is expressive and loose, focusing on capturing the personality of each pet. I love experimenting with different colors and bold brushstrokes to bring each portrait to life. My goal is to create a piece that not only looks like your pet but feels like them too.
