PRE ORDER Blue-winged Macaw

Description

This small portrait of a Blue-winged Macaw is hand-painted in oil on gessoboard, sized 13 x 18 cm (5.1 x 7.1 inches). The painting is created using the alla prima technique, which means it was painted wet-on-wet in a single session, giving it a fresh, loose, and expressive look with visible brushstrokes! The dark background highlights the parrot’s bright green and blue feathers.

Pre-order information

After ordering, the painting will receive a protective varnish to keep it safe and vibrant. This process takes about 2 weeks. Once the varnish has fully cured, the painting will be carefully packaged and shipped.

The artwork is sold unframed. This lightweight board fits easily into a standard photo frame, as long as you don’t use glass on top.
